Hi, We are heading to Disney World in October and can't wait to go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! I am trying to decide if we should have dinner in Magic Kingdom around 5:45ish that evening or if that would just be too much?

    Hi Amy!

You have picked a great time to visit Walt Disney World, October is one of my favorite months to visit! Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a big reason I love to visit in October and without a doubt my favorite special event at Walt Disney World.  HalloWishes is just spectacular and seeing the Headless Horseman leading the Boo To You parade is always a highlight.

In my opinion, enjoying a nice sit down dinner is a perfect way to kick off your night at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  The festivities begin a 7:00 pm so I would suggest making a reservation for around 5:30 so that you do not feel rushed during your meal.  By dining before the party, you will maximize your party time for all those wonderful activities.  Also, be aware that not all dining and snack locations are open during the party.  If you haven't already, I highly suggest making a reservation as soon as possible by calling (407) WDW-DINE or online. Restaurants in and around the Magic Kingdom can fill up quickly on evenings with special events.

I hope you have a "spooktacular" time and please let me know if you have anymore questions!

    Happy Haunting!
