Hi, We are a French family who will be staying at the Art of Animation Resort next August. I made 3 dining reservations without knowing what phone number to enter. I typed the NYC hotel's phone number where we'll stay before visiting WDW. Did I do wrong ?

    Hi Myriam,

No worries. As long as you have your confirmation numbers, your reservations are fine.

Disney rarely uses the telephone number associated with your dining reservation. Generally, the phone number is only used in the following situations:

    - There is a Disney-initiated change in your dining plans. This might happen, for example, if you have a reservation such as the Spirit of Aloha Luau or Mickey's Backyard BBQ that is cancelled due to poor weather conditions. Disney will call the phone number you give them to notify you of the change.

    - You lose your confirmation number. Disney employees can also retrieve reservation information using a phone number as well as a name. For example, my husband and I have different last names, we have occasionally made reservations and both lost the confirmation number and forgotten which name they were under (not our most organized trip). Disney was able retrieve our reservations using the phone number we provided.

If you'd like to change the number you have on file, you can do this by calling Disney reservations directly at 407-939-3463. However, since you're overseas, I wouldn't bother doing this in advance. You can also make any changes you'd like with the concierge at the front desk of your hotel after your arrival.

Have a great time at Walt Disney World AND in my home town of New York.
