Hi! We are excited to have our first family trip (my son is 4) to WDW in December 2012. I was wondering how far in advance I should make a room reservation? Thanks!

Hi Kimberly! December is a wonderful month to visit Walt Disney World. The theme parks as well as the resorts are decked out in holiday decorations and you can experience Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom, and The Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios. Depending on what you are planning on booking, be it a package or a room only reservation, I would make a reservation now, and as special offers are released closer to your arrival date, take advantage of the one that will best fit your family. Disney has released room discounts, free dining and gift card offers for the holiday season. Once an offer is released that appeals to your family, you can call Disney reservations, and change your booking to one that includes the special offer. Hope this helps you plan a wonderful holiday vacation! -Malanie

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
