Hi, Sabrina! Welcome back to planDisney! It's truly a pleasure to chat with you again.
I'm so, so sorry your family was uprooted by Hurricane Ida, Sabrina. I know what a stressful time this must be, and I hope I can give you one less thing to worry about.
Disney usually handles issues like this on a case-by-case basis. Under normal circumstances, they most likely wouldn't replace
MagicBands that have been lost or damaged, but this is definitely not a normal circumstance. I'd
call Guest Relations and explain the situation to see what they can do. I know that Disney will do all they can to help make magic for Guests whenever possible.
I also wouldn't bet against the possibility that your MagicBands might actually be fine! They're waterproof, pliable, and made of a strong material, so they may well have survived the storm. I'd still check with Guest Relations, but I wonder if your sturdy MagicBands might just surprise you!
I hope your Walt Disney World Resort vacation gives your family some much-needed fun and relaxation after all you've been through, Sabrina. I wish you faith, trust, and pixie dust, and I hope you'll come see us again real soon.
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
