Hi there, Carole,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you found us while planning for your upcoming
Disney Cruise Line vacation! Hopefully you have downloaded the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to your smartphone and set your cruise countdown clock so you can watch the days pass by!
Disney Cruise Line offers
ground transfers to and from Port Canaveral for embarkation and debarkation days. These transfers needs to be reserved at least three days prior to your sailing and can be done so by contacting Disney Cruise Line directly at (800) 351-3532. On the morning of debarkation, you will depart the ship by 9:00AM (barring any other circumstances) and board Disney Cruise transfers to the airport. Typically the first bus departs promptly at 9:00AM. You will want to schedule any flights leaving from Orlando International Airport after 11:30AM to ensure enough time for arrival. Disney Cruise Line offers Onboard Airline Check In which Disney Cruise Line will deliver your luggage directly to your airline without you having to collect it at the port after disembarking the ship. Currently, this option is only offered on domestic flights for Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Jet Blue Airways and United Airlines. You must preregister for this and your checked baggage must not exceed 50lbs per bag. Such a great option making your trip back to the airport easy! I highly recommend taking advantage of this service if your travel plans fit the requirements.
Wishing you a fantastic and memorable vacation, Carole! Please come back if you have any additional questions as your planning continues!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
