Hi, We are going to Disneyland may 8th and 9th. We wanted to buy restricted area tickets for the fireworks those days but it says for both days there are no tickets? Are we too early or are we too late? Did i do something wrong?

    Bonjour!

Welcome to planDisney, Daphne. Thank you for visiting us with your question today. Only a couple of months until you will be experiencing the magic of Disneyland Paris - how exciting! In my opinion, Disneyland Paris is truly the most magical place in Europe. My family and I visit often for another dose of magic!

Now, let's talk fireworks! There is nothing like finishing a day of exploring the Disney Parks and watching a nighttime spectacular. You’re visiting at such an exciting time, as the Disney Tales of Magic nighttime spectacular recently debuted in January. This is the biggest show yet, featuring fireworks, water and light effects, drones, and projections on both Sleeping Beauty Castle and the facades of the Main Street, U.S.A. buildings. I am so excited to see it for myself for the first time in May, too!

Now, it’s no surprise that the reserved viewing areas are both limited and extremely popular, often selling out. Guests with a hotel+ticket package can book this experience at the time of booking or add it later via the Disneyland Paris website, with reservations appearing in the app seven days before arrival. If it is showing as unavailable when you try and book, it is very likely sold out. I am sorry this was not the answer you were hoping for, Daphne. I recommend checking the Disneyland Paris app regularly up to and including your day of arrival as cancellations do happen as other Guests' plans change.

All is not lost! There are so many brilliant places to watch the show. The hub area in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle is great for an up-close view, but it also looks fantastic all the way down Main Street, U.S.A., which is included in the new show, too! Can I tell you a secret? I have never booked the private viewing area, and I have always had a great time watching the show. I advise dedicating a little time to finding the best spot and making sure the area is clear of trees about 60 minutes before the show's start time.

I hope this helps as you make your final plans for your perfect vacation to Disneyland Paris. If you have any further questions, please reach out to me. I'd love to help!

    Have a magical day,
    Matt
