Hi, We are going to Disney World in Feb 2018 and being young in our 60s we are wondering what hotels you would recommend and why.

    Hi Chuck!

Yes, 60's young is a great age and time for some fun! I am writing to you from the middle of the ocean as the Disney Magic sails across to Copenhagen.

My husband and I love the Epcot area for our stays at Walt Disney World. Our preferred resort is the Yacht Club Resort for many reasons. This resort is located just steps from the International Gateway of Epcot so entrance is easy and convenient to that park. It is also just a short boat ride or a nice walk to Hollywood Studios making it close to a second Disney park. In the evening you can look across the bay to the beautiful Boardwalk area which is lit up and full of activity. There are street performers and nightclubs and dining there each evening. A wonderful spot for the evening is Jellyrolls where they have dueling pianos. What talent in those pianists and its so much fun to listen to them go at it.

Epcot is probably the best adult area of all the parks where you can enjoy top dining in the World Showcase and also great Epcot entertainment all with just a park ticket. We always enjoy walking around Epcot in the evening to go at our own pace and enjoy the lights and action. We end it with the awesome Illuminations show at 9pm. If you don't wish to head into the park for this show you can see a part of it by standing on the bridge that connects the Boardwalk area to the Yacht and Beach resorts.

We prefer the Yacht Club over the Beach Club as it is a bit quieter. The convention guests will often use the Yacht Club over the Beach where you will find more families. It just has a quieter atmosphere to us. They have a beautiful quiet pool and many guests never even know it's there making it less used then the quiet pool at the Beach. Of course the two resorts are connected by a gorgeous huge pool area too.

Dining is abundant in this area between the resorts and the two parks. Yachtsman Steakhouse and Flying Fish are two of our favorites.

You would love a stay at the Yacht!
