Hiya Dana - welcome back to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with another question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
I'm so excited to hEAR that you're planning to visit in November! I love to visit in November and December when the weather is a bit cooler and I can enjoy all of the
magical holiday decorations! To answer your question, there is not a formal or official start to the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort, but we can look back to get an idea of when things typically change over. Most years, the switch from Halloween to Christmas begins the first or second week in November. It changes from year to year depending on what day of the week Halloween falls, among other factors.
Though it may seem like the winter holiday decorations go up overnight, it's actually quite a process. There's actually a great special about the transformation that you can check out on Disney+! By the time you visit, I think you should expect a good amount of decor up, however, the team may still be working on transforming some of the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels and adding some finishing touches throughout Walt Disney World Resort!
In addition to all the holiday cheer, you'll also be visiting during the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, full of exciting
new attractions, entertainment, and more - get ready to make some magical memories!
I hope this answer was helpful -
let me know if I can help answer any additional questions as you continue planning!
