Hi, We are going to Disney for the Christmas holidays & I was wondering if it is possible to drive through the Ft Wilderness camp grounds to see all the decoration the campers display? Thank

Hi Lori Ann! Fort Wilderness is a great location during the holidays to see many fun decorations. As all Disney resorts there is a guard station that will only allow guests to enter if they have a Fort Wilderness reservation. You will be allowed to park in the lot at the front of the resort and take an internal bus to reach other areas but buses will not go through the loops. They can only drop you off at the entrance and you would need to walk through them on your own. That is fun however, as it gives you plenty of time to stop and appreciate some of the decor as well as meet many wonderful guests.

Another great option would be to book a holiday buggy (sleigh) ride which will take you through some of the best loops that are decorated. Be sure and let your driver know you wish to see as much as possible. The rides last about 30 minutes and you meet them near Pioneer Hall. You can reserve a time by calling Disney Recreation, 407-WDW-PLAY, 30 days in advance. Again you would need to park your car at the front of the resort and then hop on the internal bus that will take you to Pioneer Hall, (orange loop).

I hope you are able to fit this into your vacation plans as some of the site guests really go out of their way to decorate for the holidays!
