Hi, We are going in December but not to the very merry Christmas party so was wondering if you had an ideas on what else is there holiday themed to do but not inside one of the parks?

    Hi Kris,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! 'Tis the season to find joy outside of the parks!

Disney Springs is gearing up for the holiday season. Check out this Disney Parks Blog post - Disney Springs Is the Place to Start New Traditions This Holiday Season. The revamped Christmas Tree Trail and holiday decor will add to the festive spirit. I love to see the Christmas Trees at the Resorts of Walt Disney World during this time of year to see how they are decorated. The Fantastical Gingerbread Works of Art are also a sight to behold! I have stared in wonder at the gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Could I just live there please?

I would also recommend a Horse Drawn Excursion - Holiday Sleigh Rides at the Cabins at Disney's Ft. Wilderness Resort. The ride lasts about 25 minutes. Be sure to make a reservation as soon as possible! You should also make a dining reservation at a resort or Disney Springs. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updated information on holiday dining ideas.

Kris, while you are getting in the holiday spirit, try this recipe for Pecan Maple Bark from Holidays Around the World at Epcot. I trust you are a better cook than me and that yours will turn out just perfect!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
