Hi, We have DDP (6 nights) and ADRs for Crystal Palace, Whispering Canyon, 9 Dragons, Liberty Tree Tavern, Captain's Grille, Chef Mickey's, and Tony's. Wondering which one we should we pay out of pocket for? Thanks,

    Hi Robert!

Ok, I may sound like a math nerd, but I am overjoyed that you have asked this question!  Few people take the time to calculate which meals that they should pay for out of pocket if they don't have enough Disney Dining Plan credits.  Typically, I see people just use all of the credit and then pay for the meals that they enjoy at the end of their vacation - BIG mistake!  If you take a few minutes to see which meals are the most expensive, obviously, you want to take advantage of your Dining Plan.  So let's do the math!

Since you are staying on property 6 nights, you will have 6 credits per guest to use at a sit down restaurant.  Of course, I am assuming that you have the Basic Plan and not the Quick Service plan.  All of your chosen restaurants will require one table service credit per guest, which brings your total to 7 credits.  So, we now need to pick the least expensive option!  Your out of pocket restaurant should be (drumroll please....) the Liberty Tree Tavern!  At around $32 plus tax per guest, your entire meal will be covered, including basic beverages.  Enjoy!

    Much pixie dust,
