Hi Jessica, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. October is a fantastic time to visit Walt Disney World, and I can tell you that this year’s autumn decorations are as magical as ever. I simply cannot get enough of those dreamy pumpkin Mickeys!
From one military family to another, thank you for your or your family member’s service. We are so grateful for the fantastic discounts offered to military families at Walt Disney World, and it’s my pleasure to help your family make the most of your vacation time together.
We spent our Spring Break at Walt Disney World this year, and we booked a military-discounted room-only reservation, used
military promotional tickets that we purchased on base, and added a
Disney Dining Plan. While you’re right that the military promotional ticket prices are not age-specific, the Disney Dining Plan is still priced based on the age of each Guest who is staying in the resort room. Because of that, your Disney Dining Plan entitlements will break down to child entitlements for Guests aged 3-9, and adult entitlements for Guests 10 and older.
Your children agreed 3-9 will be able to choose options from the Kids’ menu at any Table-Service restaurant. On our recent stay, my daughter wanted to order an adult menu item at one of our Table-Service meals, and we chose to pay out of pocket for her meal. I always recommend talking to your server about your options, as they are often very knowledgeable about how the dining plan works.
I hope that helps clear up any confusion, Jessica. If you have further questions, I’d be delighted to assist you. Enjoy the planning and dreaming – your trip will be here before you know it!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
