Hi, We are coming to Disney in April and are counting the days! We are staying at Yacht Club. I’ve heard you can walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios from there. How long is the walk? What is the best way to get to a Disney Springs from the hotel?

    Hi Lori,

Nice to hear from you again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You must be so excited that your next Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner.

Yacht Club is one of my favorite deluxe resorts in part because of the easy access it offers to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. The walk to the International Gateway of Epcot, the entrance between the United Kingdom and France pavilions of the World Showcase, is less than 10 minutes.

You will be visiting during the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, so there's even more reason to want to be close to the Epcot action.

To get to Hollywood Studios -- and the exciting new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge -- you will walk along the pathway past the Swan and Dolphin and Boardwalk. Depending on your pace, that will take 20 to 30 minutes. You also can board the Friendship Boats from the Yacht Club dock for either theme park, but my family usually chooses to walk because it's generally faster and an easy stroll.

Walt Disney World bus transportation is the simplest way to access the shops, restaurants and fun of Disney Springs from your resort. There's a dedicated bus stop for Disney Springs at Yacht Club, where buses arrive about every 20 minutes. And, after 4 p.m. each day, buses begin running from each theme park to Disney Springs.

The buses drop guests in Town Center, the heart of Disney Springs, and offer return resort transportation until at least 2 a.m. daily.

I hope that helps, Lori. Please let us know if you have any questions in the few short weeks until your visit. Enjoy!
