    Hi! We have a child with a very specific diet, and we have to bring her food everywhere we go. We have character meals booked, but will the restaurants (Hollywood and Vine, Garden Grill, Chef Mickey's) make us still pay for her? Thanks!!

    How wonderful it is that you’ll be setting the tone of your entire year with a vacation at Walt Disney World Resort - get ready for the most magical adventures!

    Kari, booking Disney Character meals adds a fun element to your dining experience and I have often found, that, the servers are very helpful. Just let them know of your child’s situation and I am confident they will accommodate your needs. Servers can also arrange for you to discuss any dietary restrictions with a chef, or special diets-trained Cast Member at the restaurant.

    You may also wish to refer to our Special Dietary Requests resource and contact our Special Diets Team through Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com who can assist you with the planning of special dietary needs, to perhaps lighten your duty of your own prepared foods, if you wish.

    Please keep in mind, that, if you are bringing personal food items into a Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park, to inform a Security Cast Member at bag check of your child’s food restrictions. As well, Cast Members are not allowed to store, cook, prepare or reheat any food that you may bring with you. We welcome you to our Baby Care Centers, located in all Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks, where you can reheat your child's food.
