Hi there, Divya Sree, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you decided to be our guest, and as a fellow girl mom, this question definitely speaks to me. We've celebrated all sorts of milestones in our daughters' lives at
Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm happy to share some ideas to make your sweet girl's fifth birthday as magical as can be. Let's get right to it!
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a favorite of our family - it has really fun theming, great pools, and a big food court with lots of options. You can start the birthday festivities as soon as you arrive - ask for a birthday button at the resort Front Desk! The Cast Members will personalize it, and your daughter will be the recipient of lots of smiles and birthday greetings (and perhaps some pixie dust here and there!) throughout your visit.
I often pack some simple decorations to make our room feel extra-festive, and this is a fun and cost-effective way to keep the celebration going all vacation long! Guests of Walt Disney World Resort Hotels can also arrange for some birthday surprises from
In-Room Floral and Gifts. These can include plush pals, treats, flowers, and balloons - they can be delivered to your room when you're present, or picked up at the Front Desk.
If your daughter is a Disney Princess aficionado like mine, I definitely recommend trying to book a royal makeover at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, located in
Magic Kingdom Park. This is a really sweet experience and makes little ones feel so special! Reservations can be made 60 days in advance, beginning at 6:00 AM EST - the Boutique does tend to book up quickly, so I recommend trying to get a reservation that day. After the big royal reveal, a birthday meal at
Cinderella's Royal Table (Magic Kingdom) or
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (
EPCOT) is a perfect way to meet some princess pals and continue the festivities!
Advance Dining Reservations may also be made beginning 60 days before your arrival. If your daughter loves the Disney Junior crew, breakfast at
Hollywood & Vine in
Disney's Hollywood Studios is a perfect place to start the day! Two other great spots for Character Dining are Chef Mickey's (Disney's Contemporary Resort) and 1900 Park Fare (Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa). At most locations, you can add a
celebration cake to your reservations - these are shaped like Mickey Mouse ears and are super cute (and tasty!).
Divya Sree, you will also find so many great options for birthday gifts at the parks. You can let your daughter have a mini shopping spree (Emporium at Magic Kingdom and World of Disney at
Disney Springs are both good options!) so she can pick out something she loves to remember this magical trip!
I hope this information is helpful! Be sure to mark your calendar for that 60-day mark, and please come back to planDisney anytime if we can help with any other questions.
See Ya Real Soon!
