Hi, We have booked some dining reservations and the 60 day time slot for our fastpass selection will be here soon. Just wondered how long I should leave between the last fastpass time and my dining reservation? I have taken into account the walking time.

    Hi Leah,

If your FastPass+ planning window is opening soon, that can only mean one thing…your vacation to the most magical place on earth is just around the corner! SO exciting!

With your dining reservations already set, I’d suggest working backwards from that time. For example, if you have a 6:00 p.m. dinner at Biergarten and want to ride Frozen Ever After right before that, I’d plan on 5-10 minutes to walk there, plus a few minutes to park a stroller if necessary or use the restroom. I’d want to leave Frozen Ever After no later than 5:40 p.m., so I'd try to plan my FastPass+ window to begin somewhere around 5:00 p.m. or earlier. If your meal is in a different theme park, you'll want to make sure that you leave plenty of time not only to travel to the other location, but to go through security and ticketing again, too.

The great thing about FastPass+ is that you have an entire hour-long window to enjoy the attraction or experience, so you do have some flexibility. Just make sure you allow yourself enough time if there would happen to be some sort of a delay on the attraction itself. I, personally, prefer to err on the side of caution and have some extra time built in so that I can relax and enjoy all of my experiences. I'd rather not feel like the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland while I'm on vacation, running around and shouting, "I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date!" Plus, with a little bit of extra time, you never know what other bit of unexpected magic you might discover along your journey to dinner.

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Leah, and please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical...and delicious...vacation!
