Hi there, Kirstin!
Thanks for making planDisney a part of the preparations for your upcoming Disneyland Paris vacation. Can you believe that you are just two months away from saying
bonjour to the magic?!?
I'm so glad you're prioritizing
character dining during your visit, Kirstin. I always plan to enjoy at least one meal with characters during each magical vacation. Not only is it a great way to ensure some time with your favorite characters but also a wonderful opportunity to rest weary legs while enjoying a delicious meal!
While it's no secret that I'm a fan of all character dining experiences, I truly think you'll love your meal at
Plaza Gardens Restaurant. In a prime location just off Main Street, U.S.A. with an incredible view of Sleeping Beauty Castle, it's a
practically perfect place to meet classic Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse himself without queueing.
The great thing about character dining at Disney Parks, Kirstin, is that booking your table guarantees you the opportunity to visit with the characters appearing at the time of your meal. As long as you booked a table during character dining hours (breakfast and dinner at Plaza Gardens), it's part of your booked experience. In fact, I regularly book one of the final tables of the evening as fewer Guests can occasionally lead to repeat visits from characters. Just be sure to arrive on time as tables cannot be held for more than fifteen minutes past the booked time.
You'll also find that character dining is magical for Mouseketeers of all ages, so I think your little one will love the experience...even if he doesn't have the most adventurous palate. I'm not sure how old your mini Mousketeer is, Kirstin, but if he is between the ages of 3 and 11 he will be charged for the experience even if he chooses not to dine. It's worth noting that Plaza Restaurant doesn't offer a child-specific menu but rather a
kids' rate for the same expansive buffet menu available to all Guests. Of course, with so many options to choose from, I'm hopeful that he will find something
tasty to refuel after a day in the theme parks! I'm a bit selective about food myself, and even when I don't each much from the menu, I've never regretted paying for a character dining experience. In my opinion, the convenience and magic of every character hug is worth the price.
I hope this information is helpful for you, Kirstin. Since I'm not sure what the fine print you mentioned indicated, I suggest either reaching out to a
Disneyland Paris Cast Member, Dream Team representative, or
back out to us at planDisney with additional details to help address your concerns about the timing of your reservation.
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
