Hi, We are arriving the first week of December 2015. We have a 10:45 reservation at Tusker House, do you think we will have time to do Kilamanjaro Safari if we head straight there when the park opens? Thanks

Jambo, Jane! I just checked the hours for Disney's Animal Kingdom during the first week of December, and it looks like park opening is at 9 a.m. with the exception of Extra Magic Hours that begin at 8 a.m. on December 2 and 4. Usually they will open the park a little earlier than 9 a.m. on days without Extra Magic Hours, so if you want to get in right at park opening I suggest arriving no later than 8:20 a.m. Kilimanjaro Safaris is usually my first stop in the morning because I've always had the best animal views at this time. Since you will be heading straight to Kilimanjaro Safaris, you shouldn't have much of a wait. It'll take around 30 to 45 minutes to experience this attraction, but I think you will have plenty of time to make it to your 10:45 a.m Tusker House reservation if you arrive at park opening. Tusker House and Kilimanjaro Safaris are both located in the Africa section of Animal Kingdom, so the walking distance between the two is maybe 5 minutes.

I hope you have a 'wild' time at my favorite park! If you need anything else, you know where to find us. Have a magical Walt Disney World vacation.
