We are hitting the high seas, for the first time in July 2012, and would like to know for the movie theater aboard the Dream, is there any way to know what will be shown prior to sailing? How many movies are shown per day? Is the cost of movies included?

Oh, you're just going to love your first cruise, LaDonna!  The movies are but one of the many activities sure to keep you entertained!  As for the selection of features shown aboard, you are able to call Disney Cruise Line prior to your sailing and inquire what will be showing during your vacation.  The movies are indeed included with your cruise fare; you will not be charged to see them.  The number of films shown on any given day really depends on ship scheduling.  A full listing will be provided to you in your Navigator so that you can plan your itinerary. If you happen to be out and about and forget about a movie schedule, you can also stop by the theater and check the listings that are posted there. Enjoy!
