Welcome to planDisney, Keeley. How exciting that you have an upcoming vacation (*ahem* sorry, holiday) at
The Most Magical Place on Earth. The first time I ever visited Walt Disney World, I remember leaving the fluctuating and uncertain English weather to enjoy the hot and humid Florida sun. Like my friend Olaf, I love summer! Therefore, you're visiting during one of my favorite times of the year. In between our Theme Park days, my wife and I love nothing more than lounging on the lazy river at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. And whilst we're there, we obviously have a few goes on
Crush 'n' Gusher. If you've never tried the Water Parks I'd recommend them!
I'm so impressed that you're planning a special birthday dinner for your partner and friend. (Did you know that it's also your unbirthday too! So a very merry unbirthday to you!).
'Ohana is a brilliant idea for such an occasion. Unfortunately, you can't guarantee a table at this restaurant (even for birthdays). Assuming you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you'll need to sign in to your My Disney Experience account and make a reservation once you're 60 days out. Hopefully, there will be tables available. If not, just keep checking in case there are any cancelations. If you do manage to get a reservation, then once you check-in at the restaurant, I'd suggest requesting a window-side table. If none are available, you can always leave your table and watch the fireworks from a better spot.
Keeley, if you're hoping to sprinkle some extra pixie dust on their birthdays, you might want to check out the
Enchanting Extras Collection. One of these extras includes a special fireworks experience at my favorite restaurant,
California Grill.
I hope that's helpful, Keeley. Hoping all your dreams come true!
Mike
