Hi, Sarah!
I'm so excited to hear you've booked your first cruise on the awesome Disney Magic! You'll be completely amazed when you step onboard and see how fabulous the ship is, and that's just the beginning. There's so much to see and do, for all ages!
One of my favorite things about cruising with Disney is you can do as much or as little as you want. It's up to you if you want to have activities throughout the day, or just hang out on the pool deck and relax. (I like an even balance of both!)
There are a few activities you need to book in advance: Port Adventures, Spa Services and Adult-exclusive dining. I encourage you to check out all the
Port Adventures available to you, and see if there's something you all would enjoy! They have excursions for all age and activity levels, and it's easy to reserve these experiences on the Disney Cruise Line website. Spa Services can be booked in advance, or you might want to attend the Open House on your first afternoon onboard to hear all about their services and to take advantage of any specials. If you and your dad want to dine at Palo, the adult-exclusive restaurant on the ship, you can also make reservations online.
Your daughter will have lots of activities to choose from in the Oceaneer Club, and you won't need to reserve anything ahead of time. Each day, you'll receive a Personal Navigator in your stateroom - a detailed daily schedule with all the times and locations of activities happening around the ship. There's a dedicated section for Youth Club activities, so she can check out what fun things she wants to do each day! We bring along colored highlighters so each family member can mark activities they don't want to miss!
Even if you don't pre-book any activities, you'll find plenty of fun things to do once you're onboard. I hope this helps with your planning! - Diane W.
