historically, does HS have a soft opening of the star wars activities the day before it begins..ie a practice hyperspace hoopla on 5/17?

    Hi Lindsay!

I am so excited to visit Disney's Hollywood Studios for my very first Star Wars Weekends experience this spring! Since I have several Jedi in my family, I'm sure it's going to be a big hit!

In all of the research I've been doing myself regarding these amazing weekends filled with all things Star Wars, I've not seen any mention of there having been any type of 'soft opening' or rehearsals of shows like the Hyperspace Hoopla the day before the commencement of the official events which run Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each Star Wars Weekend.

Since Star Wars Weekends have now been operating for many, many years, I think they've likely gotten it all down to such a science that there's no need for rehearsal! With the Magic of Disney and their teams of amazing Imagineers, much of the preparation and rehearsals for events such as these, happens both behind the scenes and even in the overnight hours while the rest of us sleep!

The first scheduled day of this year's amazing schedule of events is of course, May 18th. Visit this link on the Disney Parks Blog for more details regarding Celebrity Guest Appearances and other special events throughout each weekend.

Wishing you a Magical time Lindsay, as you anticipate the beginning of Star Wars Weekends 2012 and ... May the force be with you!
