Hi, Staying at the new DVC tower at Disneyland Hotel in May and trying a studio, can I check if I need to pay for laundry? The only info I can find online is that it’s $2.50 a load, unlike WDW where it’s free. Thanks, Sammy

Greetings Sammy! Thanks for visiting us at planDisney, it's always a great day when I can chat about vacation planning with a Guest!

How wonderful that you have an upcoming reservation at the Disney Vacation Club's newest property: The Villas at Disneyland Hotel! Did you know that the Villas at Disneyland Hotel are part of the 4th DVC tower? The new tower, "Discovery" is appropriately named and is welcomed by the three existing Disney Hotel towers: "Frontier", "Fantasy", and "Adventure".

When my family vacations at a Disney Vacation Club Resort, we always stay in a larger Villa due to the size of my family. We enjoy being able to pack lighter and toss in a load of laundry when necessary (and with kids, we often find ourselves needing to wash something!). The 1-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom, and 3-Bedroom Villas all come with laundry facilities but the Duo Studio and Deluxe Studio do not. Good news, Sammy, the Discovery Tower has laundry facilities located on the 1st floor and they are open 24/7. I spoke with a Cast Member who shared that Guests staying on a cash reservation can access the laundry facilities by using a credit card at the kiosk located in the laundry room. ($2.50 per load for the washer, $2.50 per load for the dryer, and $1.00 for detergent - prices are subject to change).

If you are staying on a reservation using Disney Vacation Club Points, the use of the laundry facilities is complimentary. The Cast Member I spoke to recommended heading to the Front Desk to chat with a Cast Member who will fill you in on how to access the machines.

When you're visiting Disneyland Park, be sure to stop in and visit the Disney Vacation Club Star View Station - a Member Lounge. You'll find Disneyland Park's first-ever DVC Member lounge in Tomorrowland. Here, you can rest your feet, enjoy comfy seating and cool air conditioning during those warm days at the park, and there are also complimentary soft drinks plus more!

Sammy, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning and packing! Wishing you a most magical trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, please come back and see us at planDisney with any other planning questions.

    See ya real soon,
    Candace
