Hello Theresa! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
When making
Advanced Dining Reservations at a Walt Disney World Resort Dining Location, especially for a large number of Guests, it is oftentimes difficult to ensure that every member of you party will be able to attend.
After my wife and I completed the
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend this past January, we met with several friends at
Artist Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort to celebrate. Our initial planned number of Guests was 8, but only 5 made it for the Advanced Dining Reservations (it was a tough run). We informed the Cast Member at the Check-In Desk of the change in number and were taken to our seats without issue.
When you make Advanced Dining Reservations for most Dining Locations at Walt Disney World Resort, you are not charged cancellation fees or "no show" fees as long as at least one member of your party shows up. This does not include Dining Events, Character Dining, Dinner Shows or Signature Dining where you are required to pay in advance.
If no one will be able to attend your Advanced Dining Reservations, make sure that you check the
cancellation policy when you book your Reservations or in the Confirmation email as they tend to vary depending on the Dining Location.
You can always attempt to
Change the Reservation for your Dining Experience through your My Disney Experience account at any point leading up to your meal.
Bon Appétit!
