Hi, So excited! Planning our 1st dec trip and staying at the poly in a standard view room (1st time) I’m confused on the best longhouse to request. A good view is important to me even if it’s jurt trees and near GCH for my mom. Love your advice! Thanks!

    Hi, there!

Oh my gosh, Samantha. I'm so excited too! You are sure to have a magical visit.

You are going to love Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. My family enjoyed a stay there just last month, and we're already ready to go back to that tropical paradise! Standard View rooms at Disney's Polynesian Resort are in the Aotearoa, Fiji, Tuvalu, Niue, and Rarotonga buildings. While Aotearoa and Rarotonga are closest to the Great Ceremonial House, you risk a view of the parking lot if you request these buildings. The Standard View rooms in Fiji and Tuvalu will give you a view of a garden area, as will Niue. I think Niue is your best bet as it's very close to the Great Ceremonial House and bus stop. When I'm really curious about the view of our Disney Resort hotel room, I visit the Touring Plans website. They have a handy feature that allows you to see the view from almost any Resort hotel room, at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel!

During your upcoming stay, be sure to visit at least one of the amazing restaurants at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. My family and I had a really fun and delicious breakfast at 'Ohana during our most recent visit. We enjoyed all-you-can-eat Mickey waffles (my favorite!) and a platter of scrumptious Hawaiian breakfast selections. We also enjoyed the company of Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch! My kids were rolling in laughter when Stitch tried to put our autograph marker up his nose. I highly recommend this Character Dining Experience! I also recommend Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. This unique show combines incredible food and incredible entertainment! What could be better?

Thanks for stopping by, Samantha. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
