Hi--Regarding the Genie service. If all the members of your party are reserved for a ride, and say one of them chooses not to do the ride. Would that affect that person's or the party's ability to schedule another ride in the next ride window?

    Hey there, hi there John!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Whether your vacation is in a few days, a few months, or someday, it's always fun to create wish lists for your next visit to Walt Disney World.

Adding Genie+ will free up time spent waiting in line, giving you more time to ride attractions, enjoy leisurely meals, or catch some fantastic parades and shows. Knowing how to use this "phenomenal cosmic power" before your vacation will make your experience even better!

So, getting to your question, let's say at noon you are able to get a Lightning Lane for everyone in your party to ride Splash Mountain at 1:00 PM. At the time of your reservation someone in your party chooses not to ride. In order to be able to book a new Lightning Lane with everyone else, they would need to either A) cancel their Splash Mountain Lightning Lane, or B) I suppose they could check into the ride with you and decide not to go at the last minute. Either way, as soon as your entire party checks into Splash Mountain, you'll be able to book another Lightning Lane. If the person who chooses not to ride doesn't cancel or use their Lightning Lane, they will have to wait until the the time period for their existing reservation has ended (1 hour) or 120 minutes from the time you booked your Lightning Lane. So my advice is to definitely cancel those Lightning Lanes that you won't be using. It will make things easier for everyone in your party, and you'll free up a spot for another guest.

Hope this helps. Have fun planning your magical vacation!
