Walt Disney always said that Walt Disney World Resort would never be complete. That as long as there was imagination, this would be a living place changing with the ideas reflected by the Imagineers and boy has it continued to change. So many recent expansions with Resort hotel options, attractions, shows and the technology to get in and around the park can make things a little overwhelming, especially for the last-minute trips. Depending on when you booked your trip, you may have some options so sit tight and let's dive in.
First off with regards to a travel agent and booking your trip. When you book a vacation package with Walt Disney World, you have a few days after you book that you can still transfer your reservation to a travel agent and they can fully manage every part of your vacation. After a certain period, they are no longer able to do so, and the process would be for you to cancel your reservation and rebook with them. As long as you do so more than
30 days from your date of arrival you should get a full refund. That is not the only option though!
The other thing you can try, to avoid canceling and rebooking, is reaching out directly to a travel agent and seeing if they have options that you are looking for. I have heard of many agencies that can help you manage your trip making reservations and such as you describe, but they do charge a fee. I would make sure to get a couple of quotes before agreeing to terms. Also make sure if you want to look up travel agents, look up Authorized Disney Vacation Planners. These agents have a special distinction for carrying out planning trips to Walt Disney World with exceptional standards, so you know they know their way around planning a trip to Disney!
