Hi, John, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
I see that you're set to arrive at
Walt Disney World Resort today. I'm so excited for you to begin your magical holiday! It would be my pleasure to answer your question about
motorized boat rentals.
Cruising around the lakes and lagoons of Walt Disney World Resort on a pontoon boat is such a fun and relaxing way to spend some time during your vacation. While you can enjoy some gorgeous theme park views from your rental boat, you, unfortunately, will not be able to dock at
Magic Kingdom Park. The docks at the theme parks are reserved for
water transportation driven by Cast Members. Also, if you rent a boat at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you will not be able to sail to
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at
Disney's Beach Club Resort. The waterways that these two resort hotels are located near are not connected.
If members of your party are dining at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop and they need to travel to Magic Kingdom Park, they can
catch a bus at Disney's Beach Club Resort that will take them to their destination. If you need to head over to Magic Kingdom Park from Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you can hop on the
monorail or take one of the boats driven by Cast Members.
I'm not sure if anyone in your group needs to travel between resort hotels, but it is worth mentioning that the bus service does not run between resorts. If you wish to utilize Walt Disney World Resort transportation to get from one resort to another, you will need to first travel to a theme park or
Disney Springs, and then transfer to a bus or other transportation mode that is headed for your destination. So for example, if you are at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and you need to get to a dining reservation at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, you could take a bus over to
Disney's Hollywood Studios. From there, you would want to hop on the
Disney Skyliner and take it to the
EPCOT station. Then, you're just a quick walk away from Disney's Beach Club Resort where the restaurant is located. Of course, using a ride-share app is also an alternative if you want a more direct route from place to place.
John, I hope this helps you work out some of the logistics of getting around Walt Disney World Resort. Wishing you a visit that's nothing short of magical!
Samantha
