Hi,planning a trip the week of Nov.6th,will the Christmas decorations be up yet? Just making sure we dont miss them.Love WDW on Holidays!! Thanks for all your help.

Hey there, Janice! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with another fantastically fun Disney vacation planning question!

Oh my! Nothing is more magical than Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays! This is definitely my favorite time to visit. Seeing the Resort hotels and theme parks decked in twinkling lights, gingerbread creations, garland and holiday trees puts me in the holiday spirit like nothing else can, as you can just feel the extra buzz of magic in the gingerbread-scented air. I am SO excited that you will be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the year, and I'm thrilled to answer your question today.

You will be happy to know that if you are visiting Walt Disney World Resort beginning November 6th, you should be able to enjoy the extra magic of the holiday decorations. YAY! While I do not know the exact schedule that the decorations go up around the parks and Resorts and it's possible that decorating crews may still be magically adding the finishing touches to the decorations during your stay, you will be able to feel the holiday spirit in the air in early November. When we were there for Halloween, Magic Kingdom Park went from Halloween to Christmas seemingly overnight!

While the information on Disney Very Merriest After Hours has not yet been released for 2022, if it returns this year, I highly recommend attending this magical event! Last year, it began in early November, and I had the BEST time donning my Disney holiday best, jumping on and off attractions with short wait times, catching my very favorite Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, and watching the oh-so-festive Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show. This is a must-do to kick off the holiday season in Disney style, so keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for any news about the event and how to book as soon as it drops!

Janice, I am wishing you the most magical holiday vacation! From now until your trip (and to infinity and beyond!), please stop by any time with any planning questions you may have. We LOVE chatting about Disney! You've got a friend in planDisney!

I hope to see ya real soon,
    Mandy
