Hi, Rebecca!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Hooray—your visit to the Disneyland Resort is just a few weeks away!
Dining at the Disneyland Resort is great because you don’t need reservations for every meal. There are many wonderful quick-service dining options throughout the resort to choose from. Plaza Inn on Main Street, U.S.A. is the home of one of my favorite quick-service meals, the fried chicken! In addition to the famous chicken, they also serve pot roast, pasta with your choice of sauce, and a selection of desserts. Be sure to also try Flo’s V8 Café in Cars Land, which features classic American cuisine with a fresh spin. The décor is inspired by the drive-up diners along Route 66 and features a spectacular view of cars speeding by on the Radiator Springs Racers attraction!
Although reservations are not required for table-service or character dining meals, I do recommend you arrange reservations so you can make the most of your time in the theme parks. They can be made in advance online or by calling Disney Dining at (714) 781-DINE (3463). Blue Bayou is an iconic restaurant in Disneyland Park, serving Cajun- and Creole-style food. It’s located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, and the gently-lit “outdoor” atmosphere is like no other dining experience in the parks! Carthay Circle Restaurant at Disney California Adventure Park is my favorite fine-dining restaurant because of the glamorous 1930s-Hollywood atmosphere and top-notch cuisine. Consider booking a World of Color dining package so you can enjoy a special meal followed by a viewing of the popular show from a prime reserved location.
Bon appetit, Rebecca! Please write back with more questions as you continue planning your pixie-dusted vacation.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
