Hi Elizabeth!
My anniversary is December 14th! I was a Disney bride, so we find it fitting that we visit Walt Disney World during our anniversary every year. The crowds are very manageable since it is before the Christmas break guests arrive and it is after the Thanksgiving guests leave.
Without knowing a budget, I'll suggest my top choice first. Since it is your 30th anniversary, why not stay somewhere really special! The
Grand Floridian is a very elegant and romantic Disney resort and is perfect for celebrating special occasions. You have direct access to the Magic Kingdom via resort monorail.
Another great choice is the
Yacht and Beach Club. You can walk to Epcot and take advantage of Stormalong Bay. Yes, you are visiting in December, but all of the pools are heated and last year the temperatures were still in the high 70's.
A fun place to stay is at
Fort Wilderness in a cabin. This is one of my favorite resorts because of it's beauty and it plays host to my favorite activity...Chip N Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long! Rent a golf cart for your vacation that I'm sure your kids will get a kick out of! December is my favorite time to camp at Fort Wilderness.
How about one of the new suites at the
Art of Animation? I toured the Finding Nemo suites and they are so much fun! It's nice to have the extra space while staying in a Disney resort as well.
Please let me know if I can help you further or if you'd like more details on any of the resorts.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
