    Hi,planning in advance for 2011 trip-I purchased a personalized disney gift card for my granddaughter which I will add to it every week before the trip and for myself,can the cards be used for anything? Could we use ours for tips in restaraunts? thank you

    The website has a wonderful FAQ page and you can even check your card balance there!

    Here is the official word (from the website) on where the card can be used below:
    Walt Disney World Theme Parks
    The Disney Gift Card can be used to purchase Theme Park admission tickets and annual passes. It may also be used at Disney owned and operated merchandise, dining and recreation locations where credit cards are currently accepted. Some carts, and other outdoor Merchandise vendors may not be able to accept the gift card.

    At the Disney Gift Card website there is a tab that says 'Contact Us' and it brings you to a form to fill out so that a Disney Cast Member can get back to you with answers to questions for the Gift Cards.

     They'll know much more than us, but come back to us Disney Moms and ask us where to take your beautiful Princess Granddaughter for a special dinner and we can be a lot more help! Take care!
