Hi,our first trip to WDW will be in 16 days.Which section is better to stay at with our 2 year girl,Mighty Ducks,Love Bug,Highest level or Landscape view? Also, can we still opt out of Mousekeeping and receive a $10 gift card per night? Thank you ,Julie

    Hi, there!

Julie, I'm just thrilled to hear about your upcoming vacation. Your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is sure to be magical!

You'll love staying at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. The larger-than-life classic Disney characters throughout the resort are so much fun to see and they make for great photo ops! When my family stayed at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, we stayed in the Mighty Ducks section, which my sons loved. They got a kick out the hockey theming and my husband and I appreciated how quiet it was in that section. If hockey doesn't particularly interest your little girl, I would suggest requesting a room in the Love Bug section. It's a bit easier of a walk to and from Cinema Hall, and it's closer to the laundry facilities and playground. My family always prefers a room on the ground floor because we travel with our double stroller. We love that we can just push it right into our room, especially if our kids are sleeping in it! When I'm really not sure what view we'd like to request, I visit touringplans.com. They have a handy feature that shows the view from almost every Resort hotel room at the Walt Disney World Resort! You might find it helpful as you narrow down the requests you'd like to make.

You'll be happy to know that Disney's All-Star Movies Resort does participate in the "Service Your Way" program. If you choose to decline Mousekeeping service, you'll receive a $10 credit on a Disney Gift Card for each night of your stay, except the last night. Isn't that great? Participating in the Service Your Way program means your room won't be vacuumed and your beds won't be made, but you can still request fresh towels and toiletry items by dialing Housekeeping from your Resort hotel room phone.

I'm wishing you the most magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Julie!
