Hi, On days in port you state the ashore and aboard times, but if you go ashore can you return to the ship at any time during the day or only at the specified aboard time?

Ahoy there, Elizabeth! Welcome to planDisney. We’re so glad you’ve taken the time to stop by with your question for us.

While I enjoy feeling the relaxing sea breeze when the ship is at sea, I also enjoy port of call days to explore and learn about new cultures. My family and I love trying out local cuisine! But it’s important to pay attention to “all aboard” times. While you’re out having fun, you don’t want to miss the ship’s departure!

You’re welcome to come and go as you please when your Disney ship is docked at a port, as long as you return by the “all aboard” time. Depending on the walkability of the port or if we signed up for a later excursion, our family may leave the ship first thing in the morning to explore nearby on our own. We may then head back to the ship to freshen up before venturing back out again. Be sure to have a government-issued ID, as well as your Key to the World card (stateroom key) or DisneyBand+ when you get off the ship

I hope this helps clarify any confusion you may have, Elizabeth. As you continue to plan your trip, please sail by planDisney again if you have more questions for us.

Hope to SEA ya real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
