HI!On our day at AK I want to try something different for dinner and the park closes at 5. Do you suggest Boma since we will be near or do you have another suggestion? Thought about 1900 PF but we will eat at CRT earlier that week. How late will buses run?

    Hi Emily,

I highly recommend all the restaurants at Animal Kingdom Lodge -- Boma, Sanaa and Jiko. They're each different experiences. Boma is an all-you-care-to-eat buffet with a wide variety of options to choose from. It's a great way to experiment with some new tastes without committing to an entire entree.

Sanaa's menu contains a number of sampler dishes, plus entrees. My family always gets several samplers to share. It's sort of like a mini buffet at the table. Jiko is a signature dining experience, also with delicious entree options.

Both Jiko and Boma are in the Jambo House section of Animal Kingdom Lodge. Sanaa is in Kidani Village. Sanaa is the only one of the restaurants where you can see animals while you dine, but you are welcome to walk around the lodge and take in the views before or after dinner.

To get from the Animal Kingdom theme park to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, you will need to take a bus. When you are finished with your dinner, you can catch a bus from the lodge to one of the theme parks or to Downtown Disney to transfer to a bus to your resort.

We sometimes splurge on a taxi after dinner when we eat at Animal Kingdom Lodge to minimize the transportation time.

I hope that helps you. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions as you make your plans. Enjoy!
