Hi, My wife and I will visit for a full week at the end of Sept 2014, staying at POP Century. We will have 2 "free" days to do other stuff aside from parks. What hotels inside Disney property could be fun for us to visit with our boys 4 and 7

    Rolando:

My husband and I enjoy "resort hopping" so we can explore options for future vacations!  My Top 2 resort recommendations for you with your boys would be Fort Wilderness and Boardwalk, giving you two very different experiences outside the parks that all of you would enjoy.

Fort Wilderness provides the backdrop for a myriad of activities from horseback riding to archery lessons, canoeing to bike rides. For the ultimate experience for you and your wife (not the boys, unfortunately) they even offer Segway Tours! Finish off the evening with Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-along and free outside movie or head to the marina to catch the Water Pageant and fireworks from nearby Magic Kingdom.

The Boardwalk encompasses several resorts: Boardwalk Inn, Yacht & Beach Club and the Swan & Dolphin hotels. Like Fort Wilderness, you'll find free night-time movies on the beach of Beach Club or catch one of the magicians down in front of the Boardwalk Inn. At 9 p.m., make sure that you're near the Atlantic Dance Hall to catch one of the best views of Epcot's Illuminations outside the park. Our boys enjoy the arcade adjacent to the ESPN Club but if you're looking to stick to a budget, opt for the nearby pizza window for pizza by-the-slice.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
