Welcome aboard, Michelle!
Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with another question. You are absolutely the sweetest daughter to be treating your mum like royalty and celebrating these precious moments on the Disney Cruise with her. There is always a reason to go for a 'Mum & I' trip. Special bonding moments onboard the Disney Cruise just makes it all more magical. The
holidays are most wonderful on the Disney Cruise and it's amazing to see the ship transform into a festive holiday inspired vessel. There are several signature Disney Cruise Line decorations and designs around the ship and you'll notice that each of the holiday decorations are masterfully created. You even smell holiday scents on the ship once you enter the atrium. Hmmmm, it's that pleasant smell of gingerbread -- best to go along with the life-sized gingerbread house as the room's decor, and the giant Christmas Tree. There are also Holiday inspired themes in the restaurants as the chefs prepare special holiday meals to enjoy.
December weather seems to have been spotty for the last couple of years. When I was in Florida last December, the weather was warm and sunny one day, and the next day, we'd get cooler air and rain. Nonetheless, December continuous to be one of the most popular months to go on a cruise. It is usually nice and warm during the day, but the evenings get much cooler while out on deck, due to the ocean breeze. Just remember to pack some layers, just in case you decide to hang out by the deck to watch the sunset. Don't forget to pick up her Birthday Pin from the Guest Services Desk.
Have a great time planning for your next Disney Cruise, Michelle.
