Hi! My mom is a Florida resident. Can she buy her grandkkids Disney tickets (3&6), but not go to the park herself? I don’t want her to spend the money if it’s against the rules. Thanks!!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kimberly!

There are many magical perks Florida Residents can enjoy at the Walt Disney World Resort. Getting discounted theme park tickets is definitely a big one! I love that your mom is wanting to give the gift of magic to her grandkids. What a cool and pixie-dusted gift! I bet they are so excited!

Kimberly, I know that adults over the age of 18 must present a valid form of ID to verify residency; but I wasn’t sure about the process when purchasing tickets for children, so I called a Cast Member to check. They informed me that your mom will have to pick up the tickets, so she can show proof of residency upon pick up. But once she gives you the tickets and you link them to your My Disney Experience account, she won’t need to be present when you visit the parks.

Your mom can pick up the tickets at any of the four theme parks or at Disney Springs any time before your visit. She will need to visit a Guest Relations window where she will be able to pick up the tickets for you.

I hope this information was helpful! If you have any additional questions or need planning tips or advice, please don’t hesitate to stop by. It’s our pleasure to assist you as you plan a magica visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

    See ya real soon,
