    HI- My husband really wants to eat at Kona Cafe. Which option is better - Dec. 13 7:10 pm reservation after a day at Animal Kingdom (would just bus there and not go back to CBR) or plan to have lunch before we head to MVMCP on Dec. 12? thanks!

    Hi Colleen,

    You can't go wrong with Kona Cafe at breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is one of my family's top choices, often just for a meal of appetizers and sushi. We never miss a chance to stop by Kona for an order of Sticky Wings.

    If I were you, I'd probably opt for the 7:10 dinner reservation for a couple of reasons. For one, I find the food options at Animal Kingdom more limited than the other parks, so I would look forward to a nice, relaxing sit-down dinner after a day in the park.

    Second, because Animal Kingdom closes at 5 p.m. that day, you will have time to explore the Christmas decorations at the Polynesian or one of the other monorail hotels before dinner if you want. I always enjoy seeing how each resort puts its own spin on the decor.

    And, finally, Holiday Wishes will explode over Magic Kingdom at 9:30 that night.

    I know you will have seen the fireworks the night before from inside the park during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but you can catch see them from another angle after dinner from the beach at the Polynesian. As an added bonus, you can watch the Electrical Water Pageant pass  the Polynesian after the fireworks.

    You will still have time, then, to take the monorail to Magic Kingdom and catch a bus back to the Caribbean Beach resort.

    I hope that helps you make your decision. As I said, I'm sure you will have a great meal either way. Enjoy your time at the Walt Disney World resort, and please let me know if I can do anything else to help.
