hI, My grandson (6) and I will be arriving in Orlando on 4/30/11 and leaving- 5/7/11. I have purchased a 4 day pass to Disney. Can you tell me the best days to visit each park and the weather we should expect. THANK YOU!

    Hi Debbie!

For a general itinerary, I recommend spending 2 days in the Magic Kingdom, and 2 days in Epcot.  Both of those parks are large with a lot of attractions.  I think 1 day each in Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom is enough, though if you like them, you will definitely have time to go back and do your favorite attractions in those two parks.  You might also consider one of the water parks.  My two sons, ages 11 and 6, absolutely love Typhoon Lagoon and always want to visit it on every trip to Walt Disney World.

For more advice with regards to an itinerary, I recommend visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com.  There you can access the crowd calendar to get a feel of the crowd levels predicted for each park.  Based on that information, they make recommendations on which parks to visit on which days.  TouringPlans.com is the team behind the "Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  Their recommendations are based on a lot of math and years of data collection.  As an engineer, I'm a big fan of their work.

With regards to the weather, I recommend the Weather Channel's site weather.com.  Based on my personal experiences during late April and early May, I would expect it to be very warm to even hot (hotter than 90 degrees).

    Have a magical vacation!
