Welcome to planDisney. Pretty soon you will be going down the Bayou like my friend Tiana. I absolutely love this resort and its picturesque setting, which evokes the romance of rural Louisiana. Now let’s get to your question.
Alrighty, so
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside has 4 convenient bus stops around the resort that you can choose from depending on whether you are in the Alligator Bayou or Magnolia Bend buildings. Alligator Bayou consists of buildings #14- 39 and Magnolia Bend 80,85,90 and 95. If you are in buildings 14-18, 27, and 95, I would recommend the main building bus stop at the front of the resort. For buildings 24-28 and 34-35, I would recommend the West Depot. For buildings 36-38 and 80, the North Depot; and for buildings 85 and 90, the East Depot.
The Walt Disney World Bus Service begins running 1 hour before park opening, so if you have early entry at 8:30 AM, you can expect them to start pickup at 7:30 AM. In my experience, the buses have 1 or 2 spaces available for ECV scooters, and they load them before the other guests at the stops. I recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the first bus arrives so you can be first in line to board. You can also go to the Main Bus stop at the front of the building, since it is the first stop on the route around the resort. In my experience, there are quite a few buses first thing in the morning, so if you miss the first bus, the next one will arrive pretty quickly.
