Hi! My family & I are planning a split stay - one week at BW & one week at the Poly. How do dining reservations work with split stays during long trips? Does the 60 +10 rule still apply or will I sadly need to wait to make ADRs for the second week?

    Hi there Julie-Anne,

Welcome to planDisney! It looks like you're well on your way to planning a most magical vacation across the seas at Walt Disney World Resort, you're going to love relaxing at Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Both resorts have fantastic locations with one being a quick Disney Monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom Park and the other a hop, skip and a jump away from the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT and a short sail through the sky on the Disney Skyliner to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

My family loves to explore the various accommodations within the Disney Resorts Collection which often leads us to enjoy split stays during our Walt Disney World Resort vacations. This allows us to experience the unique qualities of multiple resorts in one trip. On our most recent vacation, we stayed at Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. Each resort offers distinctive theming and atmosphere, and we loved every moment of our adventure!

A split stay involves two separate hotel reservations, each with its own 60-day advance booking window for dining reservations and Enchanting Extras which unfortunately means you are unable to book dining for your entire stay when your booking window opens. You can begin making dining reservations for your first stay 60 days before your check-in date, covering the entire duration of that stay (up to 10 days). Then, 60 days before your check-in date at the second resort, you can make dining reservations for the rest of your trip.

I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning, Julie-Anne. I will have my fingers crossed that you receive some pixie dust and can snag all of the dining reservations you are wishing for! Please let me know if you have any additional questions, I'm happy to help.

    See ya real soon,
    Candace
