Hey there, Elsie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question.
I’m so excited that you and your family will be experiencing
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort! From seasonal overlays on select attractions and characters decked out in their Halloween costumes to special treats and fall foliage, this is a great time of year to visit. On two nights per week in October,
Mickey’s Halloween Party will take place in Disneyland Park. If you do not have separate tickets to the party, Disneyland Park will close early on these nights. Since you will be in California over a nine-day period, you could most certainly plan your five park days on dates when Mickey’s Halloween Party will not be taking place to enjoy maximum time in the parks. Keep in mind that Disney California Adventure Park and the Downtown Disney District remain open to all Guests while the party is taking place in Disneyland Park.
When it comes to parades and nighttime entertainment, you will also have lots of options. Both the Pixar Play Parade and the dazzling Paint the Night parade will have daily/nightly performances and Fantasmic! should perform on the nights when the party is not taking place. Fireworks during this time of year are usually presented only on weekends. Be sure to check the
official calendar for exact show times during your trip.
I hope this helps clarify things for you. Have a spooktacular time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
