HiMy family will be going to Disney in Aug We have been there before but not with my 15 month old son He is so active Im nervous he wont stay in his stroller or even sit still to go on any rides He cant sit for more than 5 seconds anyone with experience?

    Hi Melissa!

I have been in your very active shoes three times with my own crew, and on multiple Disney vacations.  My best advice to you is to "go with the flow."  In my own experience, my young kids were so mesmerized by everything around them that they actually did stay in the strollers much longer than I expected.  They were so busy looking and taking it all in.  Your son just may surprise you.  If that turns out not to be the case for you, just go at a slower pace, when possible.  Let him walk and explore, and perhaps push his own stroller?  You'll be surprised at how quickly he may tire out.  Oftentimes kids who don't normally do so, will be seen napping in a stroller.  As far as the attractions go, Walt Disney World does such an amazing job that I can (almost) guarantee that your son will be still and entranced on the rides.  The sensory experiences are so all encompassing, that I truly think you'll be surprised at your son's reaction.

For those times you want to be certain that he stays in the stroller, bring along little snacks, books, and items to keep him entertained.  I often looked at items in the dollar section of my local Target to find new things to keep them entertained in a pinch.

Please write back if I can help you in another way.  I'm happy to assist.

Until then, I wish you a truly magical vacation!
