Hi, My family which consists of 11 will be traveling on the Disney Dream in May 2011! Yay us! We would like to go on a excursion in the Bahamas, but one that doesnt break the bank. Which would you recommend for children ages 10-4 yrs and parents? HELP!!

Hey, LaChandra from my beautiful home state of Alabama!

Wow! Traveling with a large group is always fun but can be a challenge...especially when trying to appease everyone's interests and budgets!

When friends and family ask me what to do while in port on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas, I always encourage them to get out and do something active while in Nassau if you've never been...then, chill and relax at Castaway Cay -- Disney's private island. There are several Port Adventures at the Atlantis Resort, and if you've never seen this amazing place, it is a fantastic way to spend the day for adventurers and relaxers, too.

However, with a group this size, I would suggest calling the resort directly and ask if there is a day rate for a suite. You'll have a place for your large group to "land" and to hang out and relax, and you may can get full access for your group to all the wonderful amenities of the resort. I've never done this myself, but a friend of mine has for her large family. She said that it saved them money instead of booking separate shore excursions. I hope that helps!

Have a wonderful Alabama day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
