Hi, Lisa!
Great question!
My family has often dined at
Walt Disney World on a
Disney Dining Plan, with kids on that plan anywhere from 3 to 13.
While you cannot pay the difference between the cost of a children's meal and an adult meal, choose your dining experiences based on
children's menus.
For example, Magic Kingdom's
Be Our Guest Restaurant's kids's dinner menu offers grilled seafood, chicken brochette, grilled steak and Beast Casserole, all of which are a step up from chicken fingers and fries. Disney Hollywood Studios'
Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano menu features kids' penne pasta and meatball, with the always-popular Spaghetti & Meatball Cupcake for dessert. One of our favorites, Epcot's
Teppan Edo, offers kids shrimp, chicken or beef served with veggies, udon noodles and rice--so good!
Also, all Table-Service buffets allow children to sample food from every area. Thus, consider adding
Walt Disney World buffet dining restaurants to your travel plans. 1900 Park Fare, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Boma-Flavors of Africa, Chef Mickey's, The Crystal Palace and Tusker House are all favorites, no matter who is with us!
Plan your meals wisely, Lisa, and your daughter will love her options.
Send more questions as you think of them, too; we love to help!
