    Hi, My daughter is 9 and is an adventurous eater. We are looking at purchasing a Disney dining plan but I’m worried she will be bored of burger and chicken strips.. Are we able to use her dining credits to order a smaller portion of from an adults menu

    Welcome to planDisney, Tracy! The Disney Dining Plans can help you organise your dining expenses on holiday. You can choose from two different plans: the Quick Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. The latter offers Table Service meals, including Character Dining, as eligible options. 

    It's important to consider whether the Dining Plan would benefit your family during your visit to Walt Disney World Resort. It's convenient, and your daughter can certainly access more adventurous meals than chicken strips. Try Katsura Grill or the Pork Carnitas Rice Bowl from Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Magic Kingdom Park. I recommend looking at the menus online at Dining Plan-eligible restaurants to see if there are enough kids' meals that your daughter will enjoy.

    If not, your family may prefer to access a wider array of delights on an ad hoc basis. If you want to forget about reality and think in Disney dollars only, you could always purchase a Disney Gift Card for dining payments throughout your stay. They are available at any retail outlet at Walt Disney World. You could load the same amount of money as you would have spent on the Dining Plan and see if you prefer its flexibility. I seem to enter an alternate dining universe when I sample food from the outdoor kitchens at EPCOT's World Showcase, so I need all the help I can get reining it in, and Disney Gift Cards encourage me to stick to a budget.

    Guacamole with Totopos from La Cantina de San Angel are simply perfect!

    Totchos from Woody's Lunch Box are an excellent mid-morning snack.

    Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo taste even better when enjoyed in the outdoor seating area.
