Hi..love your panel! In Aug. traveling with 16 and 10 year-old girls but cannot decide between the Coronado Springs or All Star Music Resort. I know one if moderate and the other value, but may not want to deal with all the groups at ASM. Any suggestions?

    Kathleen:

I've stayed at both the All-Stars and Coronado Springs....a few things give Coronado Springs a leg up, if you can afford the upgrade:

    • Food Court:  In my book, it's the best one of all the resorts, including the deluxe resorts.  The variety, fresh offerings and the open kitchens set it apart.
    • Larger Rooms:  There's a good 55-square feet more of room at Coronado Springs than ASM, and with two girls plus clothes, this isn't anything to sneeze at.  If you get a Cabanas or Casistas room, you'll feel like you're staying at an upscale resort.
    • Pool:  The themed Mayan pool with slide lends a more tropical feeling for your gals to lay out in the sun.  The walk to get there is even more lovlier around the large lake.
    • Peace & Quiet:  Even though Coronado Springs is a convention hotel, I have found that it doesn't harbor the same noise and busyness that the All-Star resorts have.  Even though you're at Disney you are on vacation.

If you can afford the upgrade, I definitely think it's worth it!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
