Hi there, Laura! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!
I'm so excited to hear that you're planning to dine at
Chef Mickey's during your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! The first time that my husband and I brought our kids to Walt Disney World Resort, we had breakfast at Chef Mickey's. The food was yummy and the atmosphere was lively and so much fun! Also, there's something so quintessentially Disney about eating Mickey waffles while watching the
monorail glide through
Disney's Contemporary Resort. This dining experience quickly became a tradition for my family.
If you check availability for
dining reservations on the Walt Disney World website or your
My Disney Experience mobile app, you will see that the computer system will let your search for parties of up to 20. However, in my personal experience, it seems rare to find a dining reservation online for a party larger than six or eight Guests. This is likely due to the fact that there simply aren't many tables in the various Walt Disney World Resort dining locations that can accommodate larger groups.
When I am visiting Walt Disney World Resort with a large travel party, I have had luck with splitting my group up when making dining reservations. For example, if I am visiting with a group of 12 Guests, I might try making two dining reservations for parties of six or three reservations for four Guests. I make these separate reservations for the same restaurant at similar times, then when my group arrives to check in at the restaurant, we let the Cast Members know that our parties are together. While there's no guarantee that you'll be able to be seated together, the Cast Members will do their best to accommodate your party.
I'm not sure of the exact number of Guests in your travel party, so I cannot say for certain if you'll be able to make your Chef Mickey's reservations online. Prior to making your dining reservations, you may want to reach out to a Cast Member to inquire about this. You can
find a dining reservations phone number in this online directory.
Laura, I hope that everything works out for you and that you'll soon be enjoying a meal at Chef Mickey's. Be sure to tell Mickey and his pals that I said hello! If my fellow panelists and I can help you with anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. We're all ears!
See ya real soon!
Samantha
