Walt Disney World Holiday decoration on Main Street

    Hi,just had app in cell,went to 3bars on bottom for MagicBands and saw msg "Pair your MagicBand+". I ordered via MDE in laptop, I thought it was linked to MDE when sent. Have to pair to cell also? Is there good tutorial site for Genie/+? TY

    Hi there, Angela. Welcome to planDisney! I always love seeing a fellow North Carolinian stop by with a question. Waving hello from our great state! 

    Are you getting so excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation? It will be here before you know it. December is my favorite month to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. They are dressed up in their holiday best and it is so festive and fun. 

    When your new MagicBand+ arrives it will automatically be linked to you via your MyDisneyExperience account. However, to enjoy all of the new features you'll need to pair it to your smartphone device. There have been quite a few questions since the release on how to use the new MagicBand+ and all of the features so Disney has released some super helpful videos on pairing, managing and all of the fun to be had with these new bands. This can all be found on the MagicBand+ setup page of the Walt Disney World website - which I've linked for you. 

    I'm also going to leave a link for you to visit the official Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ webpage. There's quite a bit of information over there to help you navigate using those programs. If you are looking for a good tutorial, I suggest opening an internet search with those terms and some great information will come up. Several unofficial websites have videos and blogs explaining how to use it to its full potential.

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
